Authors and essayists such as Sylvia Plath or Joan Didion have always inspired me to write and strive for a personal writing style that carries my voice, even when the work is a structured assignment. The ability to weave words together that convey the authors feelings is something that takes a lifetime to achieve, which is why I have been actively trying to craft that voice since elementary school. 
Below are some of my favourite essays that I have written and achieved high scores on, as well as essays that have won awards and scholarships.
